Yesterday was Afeeya’s (I nicknamed her Apam because of her chubby cheeks) first experiencing a total black power outage at home. It seems that TNB was working on maintenance and somehow resulted to power cut. As usual the first few minutes of darkness was calm and quiet but after about half an hour, my kids and I started to sweat. Alhamdulillah, Afeeya was really calm throughout the ordeal. π
Then hubs tried to use a power supply that we have to switch on our portable air conditioner (the one you fill ice pack or water to make it cooler) but the moment after he had finished setting it up (ππΌΒ baik punyeerrr), the power supply was out of power too!!! π€
Aufa was whinning probably due to the hot surrounding but mind you, husband already opened up all the windows, bedroom door, sliding doors to let the wind flow. Since Aufa isn’t showing any sign of stopping, so he and Aufa went straight down to the car for a bit of coldness. I can hear Aufa screaming as she doesn’t want to be in the car without us (Auni, Me and Afeeya). Then hubs came upstairs again and put her on the bed and gave her the milk bottle to calm her down. We waited a few moments and the whinning started again.
As a result, Auni was awaken and couldn’t sleep because of Aufa’s noise making and hubs was at the verge π‘Β so everyone had to go downstairs and be in car to sleep in the car. Funny thing is, after everyone settled down in our mini van, the POWER WAS BACK ON!!! πΒ πΒ So, we waited for a couple of minutes just to make sure that the power is on for good and went straight back to bed again.
As mentioned, Afeeya was a really good baby and didn’t even make a sound even when she was forced to be moved while in deep sleep and had woke up to see the commotion. πΒ In between the up and down scene, my 24/7 work phone rang and I had to attend to a complainant even when myself was in trouble…how ironic is that! Luckily I manage to handle the complaint and also there was an out burst of data leaked reported to us too once the power was back on. Thanks to my colleague that was on duty yesterday to handle it otherwise I could get bonkers! π€‘
I’m already groggy this morning to the office but managed to arrive safely.
That is all for now peeps…
