🌷 Farah and Thoughts 🌷

Life story of Farah Ramlee

So, today I decided to follow my colleagues to have lunch in Bangsar. One of them wanted to do face threading at a nearby shop near Bangsar Village 2 (BV2). I’m actually supposed to go there tomorrow to meet up with my schoolmates. Hence, its a plus point for me to find a nice lunch place for us to hang out and also check out the way to get to Bangsar from Seri Kembangan in case I’m being kidnapped by the Uber driver! 😝 Perasan gila ada orang nak kidnap…ntuh apa-apa…haha! 🀣

And after we’ve toured BV2, we were running out of options to lunch but my colleague wanted to eat at Restoran Mahbub so we walked out of the mall to get there. Once we arrived, it was jam packed with people as it was the peak hour and suddenly, at the corner of the door an old looking women was sitting all alone enjoying her lunch. She was about to finished her meal so I signaled my friends saying that I’m going to book the table. Politely of course, I asked for her permission to sit down and she too was smiling and offered us the seats. Once we sat, our friend started a conversation with the Makcik and the rest of us went to get our food.

When we came back, the friend told us that the Makcik was 72 years OLD! yes…72. I was shocked as she looked younger than that age. Her husband passed away 5 years ago and mind you, I saw there was a car key πŸš— on the table. I started to asked her whether someone is driving her or she drove herself . She said she was still able to drive to the classes, markets, hospital appointments and I continued asking her how did she get a parking at a place like this in peaked hours? She said, she had an islamic class at the nearby Masjid πŸ•Œ, so she parked her car at some nearby supermarket parking that doesn’t need parking coupons (nak elak saman sbb parking lama πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸΌ) and walked to the mosque. While walking back, she was walking by Mahbub and decided to have lunch since she only lives with her maid. OMG! Kuatnya Makcik and we talked for a while and continue our lunch. She even invited us to pray Zuhur at her home!! After she was done with her Teh Tarik β˜•οΈ, she excused herself and when off . Then suddenly, this mamak came by and took our resit and told us that our meals have been PAID. We started to argue as none of us paid anything yet but the mamak explained that the Makcik just now paid for all our meals. I was like WHAT?????????? My colleague siap tapau for her family pun Makcik tu bayarkan. Imagine that 😱 She came back wanted to inform us that don’t pay twice as she had done all the payment and we all said thanks to her in disbelieve. She did mentioned she was a housewife and never worked.

Sudahlah kita menumpang tempat duduknya, siap bersembang dibayar pula makanan kita. During one of the conversation we had, she told us she have childrens and one of them is a director from UIA but we didn’t get the name. She told us, all her children was busy with their own family to handle and that is why she was the way she is. Aduh!

Akhir kata, a simple act of kindness can throw in thousands of thoughts to ponder and digest. It is up to you to decide and appreciate the goodness.
