Hi guys! The world was hit by a pandemic that we humans dubbed as Covid-19 a.k.a corona virus. According to WHO definition, COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment.  Older people, and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illness. The COVID-19 virus spreads primarily through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes, so it’s important that you also practice respiratory etiquette (for example, by coughing into a flexed elbow).

The best way to prevent and slow down transmission is be well informed about the COVID-19 virus, the disease it causes and how it spreads. Protect yourself and others from infection by washing your hands or using an alcohol based rub frequently and not touching your face.

At this time, there are no specific vaccines or treatments for COVID-19. However, there are many ongoing clinical trials evaluating potential treatments….😟😢😭

As for us, the healthy ones, we were directed to stay at home and be under the Movement Control Order (MCO). The Government issued the MCO as the best way to cut the chain of infection. The cases kept on increasing and we learnt from other countries that have been affected prior to us, that we need to keep social distancing with one another and keep ourselves cleaned and sanitized. This totally changes everything and automatically we were living in the new norm where working from home that was once so impossible to be done by Malaysian is suddenly executable easily without problem.

Now workers, students all over the world are depending on video conferencing tool as means of communication and internet is being used to the maximum capacity. Electricity and Water bills at home increased tremendously as people now are staying at home rather than be at the office. 😆

There was also this issue that SME’s business is not going so well as the MCO directives were not on their side at all since they have to be out of business for 2 months (as of now). There are some business that had to be shut down since they have no fund to continue their business.😔

urghh!! there is so many things to be talked about this. Unfortunately I got no time to type….we even celebrated Hari Raya Aidilfitri the Covid way!
