Sejak kebelakangan nie dari hidupku di Taiping, banyak betul berita tentang kematian especially berita tentang kematian bapa. Sungguh sedih dan syahdu hati aku bila terima berita mengejut macam nie. Bila datang berita sedih mcm nie, serta merta wajah ayahku terpampang dlm ingatan. Nak dijadikan cerita pulak, my father had a near death experience last Tuesday…..

It was raining heavily and wind was strong like it was about to cause a hurricane. My father was already at home waiting for my mother’s arrival from work. After I had taken my shower, suddenly the lights in my bedroom flickers. A few seconds it off then starts to light again and the final blow, everything went black. So, I assume that the lightning arrester is functioning efficiently since the rain and wind was blowing fiercely.

I went down to check up on my dad and saw that he was on his way to my mother’s car parked outside the gate. Oh! what a lovely sight seeing that a very caring husband carrying an umbrella to fetch his darling wife out from the car. Then I started to turned away and sit at one of the chairs. My mother entered the house and started to yelled “Ya Allah!! cable tu putus….saya dah tunjuk dah cabel tu kat bapak dia tak nampak! nasib baik tak kena kejutan eletrik!”. I was puzzled as she was speaking to my maid.

Then, OMG!~! My father went into the pooled of water with the electric cable’s end was drowned in it. He did just to fetch his wife out from the car. This is why I said that it was a near death experience. Luckily at that point of time, the main fuse that connected those cables were already turned off so there was no electricity flow. This were told to us by the TNB contractor since we were quite puzzled about the flow but when they put the pen light test, it went RED! There were minor charges but not much until its harmful. Phew!~ Can you imagine what will happen to my mother and father if the main fused wasn’t switched off??? After that my father went straight in the room and bersujud syukur that nothing happened to both of them……
